MTR Mission to Tra Vinh

The Mid-term Review Mission leaded by Mr. Howard Jonhson is working in Tra Vinh from 10 to 21 Jan 2010. This event is a fantastic opportunity for the Project for Improving Market Participation of the Poor in Tra Vinh province - Loan Nr 701-VN to look back what they have done and achieved so far and where need to be improved as well.

The Mission, with many specialists who have a lot experiences in different fields such as microfinance, comparative advantage, socioeconomic and community development, and so on will provide recommendations for the project to improve its approaches and speed up to reach the final goals. The Mission also considers the reallocation of funds for successful activities and models.

After agreeing with Provincial Project Coordination Unit (PCU) on the work plan, the Mission has short parallel meetings with the PCU Director Board, PCU components and units and line agencies. On the next three days, the Mission are going to conduct field trips to project communes where they will meet different stakeholders to have a clearer picture of the project implementation.

Being aware of the importance of the Mid-term Review Mission, the PCU has been providing the best conditions so that the Mission will be successful.
